You can find a double-storey building made of stone, with wooden friezes. The second floor there is a balcony, both strengthening and protecting the entrance. The floor being of beautiful wood. The base of the staircase is made of stone leading to a wooden suspended flight of stairs. It seems to be the only small monastery saved in its original form. From the typology of the small monastery of St. Nicholas we can understand the general formation of the other ascetic areas around it.

In the inside of the church are saved two layers of wall-paintings. The early ones found in the main part of the church are from 1893 and the older ones inside the sanctuary are from 1753. Impressive is the iconostasis from the 16th century.
